What is Network Attached Storage (NAS)?

Network Attached Storage, or NAS, is a computer that is connected to your business network and only provides file-based data storage services. With a NAS you can share files, storage capacity and other accessories like printers and fax machines.

Benefits of a NAS:

  • Allows multiple computers to access files, data and other information through your network
  • Provides extra storage, outside of your server, but accessible on your network
  • Good solution for small businesses who have a network, but don’t have the space for a server
